TheDinoDig is a one-of-a-kind mobile fossil-dig experience that brings hands-on discovery directly to festivals, schools, and special events. Kids become junior paleontologists as they dig for real fossils, minerals, and treasures they get to take home. Our fully enclosed digging stations create an exciting, interactive attraction that keeps children engaged while sneaking in a little STEM learning along the way. The experience also includes fun photo opportunities and can feature our lifelike baby animatronic dinosaurs and Spike, our robotic baby Ankylosaurus. TheDinoDig is designed to entertain a wide range of ages while creating memorable moments for the entire family. We bring it, kids dig it!

Founded in 2012Our Story TheDinoDig started with a fourth birthday party, a sandbox, and a whole lot of excited little paleontologists! For our son’s dinosaur-themed birthday, we built a special sandbox where the kids could dig for hidden treasures. We watched as they searched, discovered, and proudly showed off everything they found—and they absolutely loved it. That’s when we had the thought: Why isn’t there something like this at festivals and family events? So, we decided to build it ourselves. We created our first mobile fossil dig and began taking it to local festivals. What started as a simple birthday-party idea grew into TheDinoDig—a hands-on experience where thousands of kids have now had the chance to dig, discover real fossils and minerals, and experience a little of the excitement that started in our own backyard. And it all began with one little boy’s fourth birthday.
